Year Eight pupils from Rhiwabon High School produced ten pieces of artwork as part of the Arts in Health Initiative for the Shooting Stars Unit at Wrexham Maelor Hospital

Using oil based inks, hand cut stencils and hand rollers, the students designed and printed vibrantly coloured squares and lettering on the theme of Celebration.

The residency involved working with all the year eight pupils, in the school's Art Department , and with Lisa Moore, Head of Art. As well as producing framed artworks for the consultancy rooms at the hospital, the pupils created a large number of artworks to be displayed within their school building

Arranged and funded through Wrexham Arts Agency/Denbighshire County Council's Arts in Health Strategy.The Shooting Stars Unit was officially opened by HRH Duke of York , attended by pupils from the project.

HelfaGelf workshops for Women’s Aid and MIND

Tutor in a series of workshops at Bodelwyddan Castle aimed at inspiring adult learners in north Wales to be creative. Taking their inspiration from the castle’s collections, various groups including Women’s Aid and community college groups produced delightful pieces of work using my printing press, resulting in a publication about the event to mark their achievements.

2006 /2007

Artist in Residence at four senior schools art departments in Wrexham who participated in the Zebra Express Printmaking Project. Organized by Lynn Mealings, Arts Education and Development Manager for Wrexham County Borough Council in association with Wrexham County Borough Council, Arts Council of Wales, North East Wales NHS Trust and Denbighshire County Council - Arts in Health.

The schools involved were Rhosnesni High, Ysgol Grango, Ysgol Clywedog and Ysgol Morgan Llwyd.

180 prints were selected from the residencies to frame and donate to the Rehabilitation Unit for the Elderly in Wrexham Maelor Hospital as part of the Arts in Health Initiative.
